Agents and the claim that software is done
@MatthewBerman posts 'Reverse Engineer Anything' and says 'Software is done', with 39.2K likes and 3.9M views. @NousResearch says Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with a Hermes Agent demo, in which one prompt set up a customized Hermes. It then planned an obstacle course and trained simulated ducks for the @huggingface Microduck robot. Nous argues open source lets users chain local and cloud models themselves.
Why it mattersBoth posts present agents as building complex things from a prompt, and the first drew the highest like count in this set.
DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and open-source AI
@opencode says DeepSeek V4.1 Flash was updated to 1017 in OpenCode Go and Free, with 12.8K likes. @Hesamation quotes a claim that it beats GPT 6 Sol on a multi-step offensive cybersecurity task, and says a Chinese open model you can run locally outdid capabilities OpenAI kept gated. @Polymarket says DeepSeek released an open-source tool to dramatically reduce computing costs of running AI models.
Why it mattersPosters frame DeepSeek's open releases as a challenge to closed frontier models, on both capability and running cost.
Compute build-out and chip manufacturing
@elonmusk says 'lack of electricity' is an oversimplification, that everything is hard about bringing massive compute online at extremely high speed, and that it would be relatively easy with twice as much time. The post has 12.6K likes and 2.1M views. @Polymarket reports that Taiwan will build a $4,000,000,000.00 AI manufacturing complex in Texas to support Nvidia, TSMC and other major chipmakers.
Why it mattersBoth posts concern the physical side of AI: how fast compute and chip capacity can be built.
Claude and Gemini product updates
@claudeai says that starting next week sessions on Claude web, desktop and mobile will default to auto mode on Pro, Max and Team plans, with an automated check blocking risky actions (10.6K likes). @ClaudeDevs says it is donating Agent Skills to the Agentic AI Foundation and cites 70+ platforms integrating the standard. It also announces API version 2026-10-21. @GoogleAIStudio says Google AI Pro subscribers can build with gemini 4 argon.
Why it mattersVendors are shifting toward default automation and shared agent standards, a trend visible in several announcements the same week.
AI, surveillance and control
@Polymarket says the UN Secretary-General warned that emerging technology could let governments 'read citizens' minds' and criminalize private thoughts (7.3K likes). @harari_yuval says 'We are the cows of the future', arguing people will not understand the AI financial system that will control their lives in 10 or 20 years. Both posts frame AI as a risk to individual autonomy.
Why it mattersThese posts show concern about AI and power, drawing replies in the hundreds.

“Lack of electricity” is an oversimplification. Everything is hard about bringing massive compute online at extremely high speed. If there was twice as much time, this would be relatively easy, but there is not.

The legacy media is funny, because what do you mean “he described”. I watched it fly, didn’t you?
BREAKING: UN Secretary-General warns emerging technology could allow governments to "read citizens' minds," accessing their private thoughts & criminalizing what they think.
Starting next week, sessions across Claude web, desktop, and mobile apps will run in auto mode by default on Pro, Max, and Team plans. Rather than asking you to approve each step, an automated check blocks risky actions. Switch back to manual anytime.
Jensen closed his GTC Berlin 2026 keynote with this Hermes Agent demo as the finale. He introduced it by saying the way to build an agent is to ask an agent to build it for you, so he installed and set up a customized Hermes in one prompt. Then he used Hermes, running on @nvidia RTX Spark, to create a simulated training environment for the @huggingface Microduck. Hermes planned an obstacle course with Nemotron and had GPT-6 Astra build it using FreeCAD, Omniverse libraries, Blender, Newton, and Isaac Lab. Hermes trained thousands of simulated ducks on that course until the validated policy was ready to run on the real robot in the physical world. At Nous, we believe open source is a practical tool as much as a philosophical ideal. It gives users the ability to build powerful, complex workflows chaining numerous local+cloud models, devices, and tools themselves instead of waiting for a company to enable them.

We're donating Agent Skills to the Agentic AI Foundation (@AgenticAIFdn), the same foundation we donated MCP to. Since December 2025, 70+ agent platforms have integrated the standard, including ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and VS Code. Here's what that means for you:
JUST IN: China's DeepSeek releases an open-source tool designed to dramatically reduce the computing costs of running AI models.
"We are the cows of the future... Just as cows can't understand the financial system that controls their lives today, we will not be able to understand the AI financial system that will control our lives in 10 or 20 years." API version 2026-10-21 is now available. The Claude API has evolved a lot, but this is our first official version release since 2023. We plan to release versions more often so you can handle breaking changes before a new model requires them. 2023-06-01 is not deprecated.
attention google ai pro subscribers: you can now build with gemini 4 argon in ai studio build / playground 🛠️ get started here: https://t.co/CbKuR8bPfm
“We found DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 beats GPT 6 Sol on our multi-step offensive cybersecurity task.” READ THAT AGAIN. the same cyber capabilities that OpenAI kept behind a gate got beaten by a Chinese open model you can run locally. buckle up guys. https://t.co/DDvax9fI8Y
